Talk about a one-two punch. The midwest festival known as Electric Forest has just sold out in record time. Only a day after releasing its official lineup (tickets went on sale in December), press releases have been flying stating that the festival is completely sold out. This is the 5th year for the festival, but only one of two times that it has completely sold out, the other time only just before the actual festival took place. This year’s festival sold out three and a half months faster than any previous year.
The lineup for this year includes Skrillex, Flume and Bassnectar, with jam band The String Cheese Incident playing three sets over the course of the festival. Obviously, the fans are extremely loyal and so are the artists. Many artists on this year’s lineup are repeats and that shows that they love what Electric Forest has to offer. If you weren’t lucky enough to get tickets, there will likely be people selling them closer to the festival date, but in the immortal words of my dad, “You snooze you lose.”
Electric Forest takes place June 25–28, 2015 in Rothbury, Michigan.
