Oh, Faded… it seems that you’ll never go away. Not that we’d ever want it to, it’s a dope track. At the same time, all of these different “versions” of the track keep it fresh and relevant, so his marketing team is doing a phenomenal job.
This latest iteration comes as a collab between three huge names – Zhu, Dj Snake & Dj Mustard. According to the Soundcloud description, this was done in a single night in Los Angeles, land of debauchery and music innovation. To say that this 2.0 is weird would probably be understatement of the year. The progression at the vocals sounds like something Iggy Azalea would put out, while the slightly higher tempo vocals sound really neat actually. But then the drop comes and it’s like, “Whoa.” Super crunchy synths and a snare that would make Jack Ü cream their pants are the most prevalent features, though there’s so much going on that it’s hard to keep your head on straight.
This is undoubtedly the work of a team like these three, and while it doesn’t translate especially well on a home system, we predict that this will go down hard live.
