Excision – Codename X

As he prepares for weeks of madness alongside Protohype and Minnesota on his 2015 tour, Excision‘s brand new album Codename X is equally set to tear up the bass scene globally. It follows just months after the monster ‘Nightshine’ dropped as a partnership between The Frim and the main man himself. Inviting The Frim back into the studio once again brings us another insane production in the form of ‘X Up’, dominated by a catchy vocal hook you’ll be singing for days and one that is sure to get the hands up in the air on this live tour.

‘Live Wire’ brings the slower stepping back with a similar groove to ‘Float Away’, both brought to us as a solo appearance from Excision. There is a large selection of collaborations present within Codename X with ‘Robo Kitty’, by Downlink, as well as a monster blend of house and trap with ‘Push It Up’, a joint effort with Space Laces.

Out now on his own Rottun Records imprint, you can pick up Codename X here
