If you’re old enough to have watched COPS on TV, then these lyrics are likely filled with nostalgia. Watching the men in black and blue chasing down idiots who commit stupid crimes was often the highlight of my time after school. Bobby Puma has completely stripped down the track into an experimental trap tune with some seriously unique sound design. I just wish he could have varied it a bit. By the end of the track, it’s as if I had already played it three times – the bassline and drops are nearly identical each time, though I suppose that gives it good play in a DJ set.
For casual listening, I wouldn’t put this on my phone. Be sure that the club is going to turn up when this plays on the speakers, though.
