Purity Ring is an indie electronic duo comprised of vocalist Megan James and producer Corin Roddick. Their 2012 debut album Shrines gained them wide appeal as their sound broke the typical schism between electronic and indie rock. Pitchfork listed it as 24th on their top 50 albums of 2012, and since then the duo have been touring at working on new music, ready to exceed expectations once again.
Their second album will be titled Another Eternity, and is set for release on March 3rd. They’ve already released one single, back in December, titled “Push Pull.” Last Monday on January 12th they released the second single from the album titled “Begin Again.” While it may bear the same title as the popular Knife Party track, this is something entirely different.
The beautiful rendition is made complete with James’ vocals, but Roddick does a magnificent job creating an intense atmosphere surrounding it all.
