Skream Will Release Third Album On Crosstown Rebels

Jesus f*cking Christ… first we’ve got Modestep, and then Benga, and now news that Skream will be releasing an album in 2015, as well. Though it will likely not be a dubstep release, Skream has already proven himself to be a phenomenal producer and forward-thinking artist worthy of praise.

According to Mixmag, Skream has officially signed to Crosstown Rebels which will see the release of his still untitled third studio album, following up 2010’s Outside The Box. Skream will make his official debut on the label on February 23rd with ‘Still Lemonade’. It’ll also be accompanied by a remix from mask wearing techno producer Redshape.

“‘Still Lemonade’ was the first track I finished in a long time that I felt completely happy with and was ready to play out. I didn’t tell anyone it was by me when I first started playing it and the reaction was explosive. It’s a perfect example of the direction I’m taking with my productions.”

Known for his abrupt change from dubstep to more disco- and house-influenced tunes, Skream says this album will be “dark.”

“It sounds like my older stuff, but at a different tempo.”

More info on the new album will be provided as we receive it.
