The mighty Toolroom Records never fails to disappoint by always providing some of the hottest deep and tech house selections the dance scene has ever heard. 2015 is already proving to be a massive year for the label with a few huge singles already released by owner and house legend, Mark Knight, along with this spectacular new compilation album, ‘Toolroom Mexico’, mixed entirely by the extremely talented duo, Thee Cool Cats, who recently just joined the label! This album is a perfect showcase of the incredible roster of Toolroom Records, as they will be on their way to the infamous BPM Festival, bringing along Thee Cool Cats, as well as label favorites Adrian Hour, Weiss, Prok & Fitch, and of course, Mark Knight to play their very own premier stage.

‘Toolroom Mexico’ is packed with an amazing array of tracks, like the intoxicating “Booty Comes First” from Catz ‘n Dogz, Amtrac‘s “Those Days“, and Vanilla Ace‘s thunderous single, “I’m Hot“, which samples the one and only Marvin Gaye. A few other tracks that really stand out include Thee Cool Cat’s “Don’t Kill My Vibe“, as they designed their own spin on Kendrick’s rap, flipping it into a club gem. Also, Weiss’s “I Can’t Stop” never seems to get old, no matter how many albums I hear it on and I couldn’t be happier it was included in this mix.

Overall, Thee Cool Cats and Toolroom have established quite the album to kick off this brand new year and, as a fan of both, I’m very excited to see what blossoms from this new relationship. Head over to Beatport to buy the album and be sure to give it a listen below!
