What do you do when you’ve sold out Madison Square Garden, broken up with your group, gotten back together with one of them, and have a family to take care of?
You open a restaurant.
Called “E.P. and L.P.,” the restaurant will feature “Pan-Asian cuisine by way of Australian Chef Louis Tikaram, who will bring Thai hawker-inspired bites woven together with touches of Fijian, Korean, Indonesian, and Malaysian influences.”
Restaurateurs David Combes and Grant Smillie, a prolific Australian DJ, partnered with investor Axwell of Swedish House Mafia fame to bring this sprawling, multi-concept space to life. On the ground floor is E.P., the Southeast Asian and South Pacific restaurant with an interactive open kitchen and intimate chef’s bar.
The expansive 4,000 square foot rooftop lounge, L.P., will feature a luxe bar, views of the Hollywood Hills, and a late night menu served until 2 am. Finally, Frankie’s, named after yet another DJ, New York’s DJ Frankie Knuckles, will be a VIP room sharing a rooftop with L.P.
Sounds like this venue has everything you need to keep going all night long, from a full dinner to high-energy lounge to sultry VIP room, and ending in late night snacks. Designed by one of Australia’s hottest restaurant interior designers, expect to see snazzy bars and chic musical touches, like copper-dipped turntables.
The restaurant and lounge is set to open up in February.
