It’s a Friday night and not much is happening in the world of EDM, dance music, electronic music, or whatever you want to call it. We decided: “Hey! Let’s revisit a classic!” so here we are back at our trusty French robots. Daft Punk have truly made some incredible music, with every album showcasing a unique style. From Homework’s departure from Eurodance and revitalization of house music, to Discovery’s disco and garage influences, each album stands out in its own way effectively illustrating Daft Punk’s mastery of their art. Now we tried to decide which album was their very best and believe me, that’s no easy task. The easy choice would be Discovery, named fourth best album of the decade by Resident Advisor. The 14-track LP unleashed some of the duo’s most well known songs, such as Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger and One More Time. On the other hand we have Homework, which Rolling Stone ranked as the number 1 EDM album of all time, and showed the world what French House was capable of.
Honestly we couldn’t decide between the two, so we picked both. Enjoy 😉
