It’s been a while since I’ve listened to something from Nimanslin. The German producer put out a pretty good album earlier this year titled To The Moon And Back, and now his latest single “Renovator” is bound to kill some dancefloors.
If you’re tired of deep house and garage being conflated, you’re not in the minority. If you’d like to hear a true and dope garage tune, Nimanslin has got you covered. I can’t stop listening to this track for its infectious bassline and clearly mature sound design. Though it’s nearly 4 minutes long, I feel like it’s over before I know it and I replay it again and again to try and regain some of that “lost time.” The builds and progression of the track are top notch and I count this as one of the finer tracks I’ve heard this year. The small guitar plucks aside the chopped vocals and banging drums create a soundscape entirely its own.
