The cellphone service struggle is known all too well by today’s festival attendees. It has been nearly impossible to use cell service or WiFi to reliably communicate amongst the throngs of fellow music lovers all trying to access the same network. Luckily, Open Garden answered our prayers earlier this year with FireChat, the free crowd messaging application that allows users to instantly send messages and photos to others who are nearby, even if no cellular service or internet connection is available.
Starting today, users will also be able to follow their favorite people on FireChat, see when they come online, and instantly join them in massive live chatrooms capable of handling thousands of unique participants.
