Skrillex, Diplo, Flume, Lorde and 36 Others Try to Collaborate on the Same Song

To celebrate the incoming release of their user generated Hottest 100 list, Triple J enlisted the help of some of the best musicians to create the introductory theme song for the ranking. For the past 40 years the Australian radio station’s Hottest 100 poll has garnered incredible attention with a reported 1.49 million votes from over 173,000 fans. This time around Triple J’s breakfast weekday hosts Matt and Alex attempted to unify 40 of the world’s best artists to create what they’d hope to be a historical achievement. With Lorde, Skrillex, Diplo, Rick Astley, Peking Duk, Flume and many others, all trying to add their own unique trait and style to the project, one can quickly see why such a piece of work was never tried before.
