Kaskade Premieres New Music Video for “A Little More” with John Dahlback & Sansa

Currently holding the number 1 spot on Beatport’s progressive house chart, Kaskade and John Dahlback‘s A Little More featuring Sansa was one of the first releases on Kaskade’s new record label Arkade. Today Kaskade premiered the odd, yet humorous official music video for the popular track on his Facebook. The video, directed by Remy Cayuela, trails a bewildered tourist as he travels to what he believes to be Hawaii. Throughout the video, the traveler sips tropical beverages, goes swimming, attempts to surf, and rides on a skateboard, all while donning a floral button down. The issue, however, is that the man did not make it to Hawaii and has instead been exploring Iceland. Lost, isolated, and alone, the tourist makes the most of his trip, from dancing on the beach to scuba diving, while wearing a confused yet hopeful facial expression during his vacation.  The most interesting aspect is that the tourist, who narrates his adventure in a pseudo-documentary, never seems to realize that he didn’t quite make it to his  proper destination. The video is unconventional, yet somehow is able to evoke an uncanny sense of optimism. The connection between the tourist’s story in the video and A Little More is up to interpretation, as the video almost distracts the viewer from the beauty of the song, but at the bases of both are stories that depict symbols of hope and optimism in the midst of travel, alienation, and confusion.
