In celebration of Jim Morrison’s birthday yesterday, LA-producer Bobby Nourmand decided to release this deep remix of The Doors’ “Peace Frog.”
Morrison himself would be proud of this track, I think. It’s got the deep and troubled vibe that many Doors songs themselves carry. Jim’s voice carries through the distorted deep house synths surprisingly well, though I suppose it’s not that surprising when you consider that they’ve collaborated with Skrillex before (sans Morrison). The echoed vocals of Morrison are almost haunting with the deep and scarred soundscape that Nourmand presents.
