As one of the original members of Roni Size Reprezent, female artist Onallee is no stranger to the drum & bass music scene. Reprezent’s debut album titled New Forms featuring Onallee’s talent and vocals took home the Mercury Music Prize in 1997. The group has also toured many large scale UK festivals together, and made a significant impact on the development of the genre.
Onallee has now developed her first solo EP, launching under her own self-titled label Onallee Records and aptly titled Revolution. Produced by fellow Reprezent collaborator Am:So, the EP’s 4 unique tracks each showcase Onallee’s vocals and bold lyrics atop smooth, energetic beats and haunting melodies. This impressive debut proves that Onallee will be one to watch going forward in the world of drum & bass. The album is available now on Beatport, and will be released on iTunes December 14th.
