Marcus James – Turn Off the Lights (feat. Jessica Zraly)

Marcus James

Marcus James is back again with Jessica Zraly with a new single “Turn Off the Lights” that was independently released by the producer. These two make quite the couple, dishing out another progressive house original. There’s just something about the melody that really sticks out to me, however I cannot pinpoint exactly why I am so fond of it. Although the synth plucks are similar to other tunes of the same sub-genre, I feel like these are a little bit more raspy, which gives it an edge as far as my ears are concerned. I like how this song was not drawn out and overhyped with it’s structuring. Marcus doesn’t deliver flamboyant, over the top builds, but rather a solid piece of music that does what it needs to do all in three in a half minutes.
