As expected, the 200th release from Markus Schulz’s label Coldharbour Recordings had to be something truly special, a song full of meaning. “Winter Kills Me” ft. Lady V has been chosen as the milestone track, one that’s been a year in the making. Lady V is a familiar face in the Coldharbour family; Schulz also collaborated with her for his track “Erase You” on his album Scream 2 earlier this year. Unlike the name, “Winter Kills Me” is anything but somber; the track stays on the brighter, but not too uplifting side of trance, rather than venture down the rabbit hole towards his darker productions as Dakota. The track has been featured as his closing song for his residency in Ibiza as well as the end of Transmission in Prague, two highlight performances from an incredible year of touring for Markus Schulz. Once more, he continues to prove that he is a master of all sounds; 2014 has been full of hits that fall along every trance subgenre, both as New World Punx with Ferry Corsten, and as a solo act. If you enjoy tracks like “Fireworks” or his remix of Odeza’s “Say My Name” then you will definitely enjoy “Winter Kills Me,” which you can listen to below.
“Winter Kills Me” is the 200th release on Coldharbour Recordings, which is available on this Monday, December 1.
