Tim Exile Turns His TED Talk Into A Dance Party [Video]

Tim Exile, the UK based multi-genre producer and performer, recently gave a TED Talk, the global conference that promotes innovators in technology, entertainment and design. Tim was in the building to show off his self-made midi controller, which he calls The Flow Machine, that allows him to improvise original music using a sample looper, effects, and a drum machine.

It takes about twelve minutes of a light lecture and a warm up tune, which he makes from sampling the crowd, before the audience is on their feet and dancing their way up the stage. This is a must see for technology nerds and dance music fans a like.

Check out the video below to see why being called “button pushers” should not be an EDM taboo, but celebrated as new cutting-edge instruments allow DJs to explore sounds that were never possible before.
