From Zedd and Cash Cash to even Contemporary Christian artist Chris Tomlin, Tritonal has put out a slew of remixes to supplement their Metamorphic: III EP this year. On the flip side, few have taken on the challenge of remixing their work, as the last official remixes were from Pierce Fulton, and Estiva & Juventa for Metamorphic: II’s “Now or Never.” Now Lush & Simon have answered the call have a go at Tritonal’s latest single “Anchor.”
The Italian pair have also been busy on the remix circuit this year. In addition to “Anchor,” they’ve also put their spin on 3lau’s “How You Love Me” as well as Dash Berlin & Jay Cosmic’s “Here Tonight” ft. Colin McLoughlin, both in just the past 6 months. Their “Anchor” remix is unlike their others, which stay in line with each song’s uplifting melodies. Lush & Simon not only darken Tritonal’s famously bright sound, but they highlight “Anchor’s” dissonant vocals at the same time. Tritonal fans will appreciate the plucky snyths as they are similar to “Satellite,” also from the Metamorphic: III EP.
Unfortunately American Lush & Simon fans won’t get a chance to hear this one live for a while, as the duo only have European show dates to close out the year. As for Tritonal, their hectic touring schedule is starting to wind down as they are working feverishly on completing their second studio album. Still, you can hear this remix on episodes of all your favorite podcasts like Tritonia, Enhanced Sessions, and even Revealed Radio.
Lush & Simon’s Remix of “Anchor” is out now on Enhanced Recordings and can be downloaded exclusively on Beatport today.
