Every year, musicians around the world band together for World Aids Day 2014. The day is designed to raise awareness for the rise in HIV in young people aged 13-24. Lifebeat, a central organization in the cause, is kicking off the #MusicFightsAIDS campaign on November 26th & are collaborating with major media outlets and companies to help spread the message. The campaign ends with a day-long concert featuring some of your favorite artists at Pacha, NYC on Sunday, November 30 from 4pm-12:01am (World AIDS day is December 1st).
This is not the first time Pacha has participated in Worlds AIDS Day. During their 8-year anniversary last year, a portion of the proceeds from every show in the month of December were donated to Lifebeat and Music Fights HIV/AIDS. This year, DJs such as A-Trak, Fedde Le Grand, Green Lantern, Tritonal, Fehrplay, and more will be performing all day to help raise money and awareness. There will also be HIV prevention materials provided throughout the venue for anyone who wants to learn more.
