Yeah, this track was uploaded a year ago. I just found it today, we haven’t covered it yet, I like it, so deal with it.
I just saw live tropical house for the first time at Day of the Dead with Thomas Jack, and I’ve been on a kick ever since. This track came up in a list of recommended tracks on SoundCloud and it instantly hooked me with its bongos and rhythmic kick. It sounds a lot like Odesza, which is probably why I was so drawn to it. The track is good, only just good, even with it’s vocal samples and soft piano chords, until about 2:49 when it becomes great. That saxophone so prevalent in tropical house is it’s so damn emotive; you can hear the intensity with which a saxophone is played and it breeds similar feelings in the listener. It’s magical.
