Like many, I first discovered AgNO3 on Monstercat, on his collaboration with Mr Fijiwiji and Laura Brehm. What I didn’t know, or rather didn’t bother looking into at the time, was his other work. Turns out, he’s really f***ing good!!
This remix of “When A Fire Starts To Burn” is one of the finest I’ve heard, with a dark and gritty hard electro kick and some seriously awesome synth work. There’s a lot of similarities to Gesaffelstein or older MSTRKRFT in this fine work, and I’m loving it. What’s most astonishing is the way the beat and rhythm of the original is still captured in the remaining vocals, while the bass and synths hit harder than a redneck dad finding out the paperboy knocked up his daughter. 
Better yet, this is just a taste of things to come.
I’m a big fan of Disclosure, their music really inspires me. I wanted to use this remix to demonstrate how I’ve progressed since embarking on this new LP I’ve been working on. I really want to show people that I’m trying to push myself, experiment, and above all put as much love into what I do as possible. Also I just love the original and felt it needed a dark, horny rendition out there.
