What we have here is a future bass anthem. I’m loving the meticulously design behind future bass tracks these days — from the horns, to the finger snaps, to the soft piano chords, the vocals, the vox’d voice before the drop. Everything has a unique and purposeful reason for being present. Many tracks try to force so many sounds into the mix that it ends up sounding like a bunch of rocks in a blenders.
Not “Hypnotic”, by Vanic x Zella Day, though. No, if I had to compare this to anything, it would be running your hand up a woman’s leg right after she’s shaved: soft, smooth, and leaves you wanting so much more. The rises tantalize and tease you, and the drops are just like these huge releases of energy and emotion. This song is pure sex.
