Two tracks in one release for next Monday sounds good, right? How about if it’s from dubstep and glitch hop aficionados Dodge & Fuski? The duo behind some of the hardest hitting music returns to their home label Disciple Recordings with two new rage-fueled tunes that will shake your week.
With “Killer Bees”, this duo introduce their tune with some creepy bumblebee and wasp buzzing samples. In less than a minute, however, DNF jump right into the meat and bones of this savage production. Hard plucks, sharp synths, and 140 bpm kicks give this tune the terrifying structure and the deliberate sting that makes it so great. Expect to hear this tune play in every bass-heavy set for the rest of the year.
On the flip-side to “Killer Bees”, “Vibes” takes a wildly different direction in energy. Although I was not a fan of the vocal sample they chose which say, “You give positive vibes,” this song is reminiscent of many Flux Pavilion productions while still holding the creative nature of Dodge & Fuski music. Instead of being as ferocious as “Killer Bees”, this song is appropriately named for taking a step towards an atmospheric result.
Both “Killer Bees” and “Vibes” will see a release date of October 27th. Check out the previews on SoundCloud and let us know what you think of the latest Dodge & Fuski creations.
