If you produce music and you live in the UK, then you have quite the opportunity at your doorstep. One Direction, the world famous pop group, has asked the music community to turn out remixes of their track “Steal My Girl,” for a chance to win £1,500. On top of the cash prize, the official remix will be uploaded to One Direction’s channels for exposure on a vast scale, as well as possible radio play. Group member Liam Payne, who recently remixed “I Don’t Care,” will be one of the judges, as well as a Senior A&R and Radio Executives from Sony Music. They are looking for a “upfront Friday night club track to get everyone on the dance floor moving,” so if you think you have what it takes, then get the stems and enter. If you are just looking for a pop song to remix, or you are not in the UK and you want to remix, then you can still grab the stems and do as you wish with them.
