In what is sure to be the highlight of your day, Lorde hilariously dropped a short cover of “I Am Lorde Ya Ya Ya”, aka the song that was sung by South Park’s Randy Marsh for his rendition of the pop singer during last Wednesday’s episode. In a series of Instagram videos posted earlier this week, Lorde expressed her appreciation for the witty parody.

this is actually surprisingly cute – and from what i can tell also has a message of transgender acceptance (i’m still very new with this type of humour so i’m not sure if was actually genuine but it seemed so to me)

In this brief clip taken from an interview with New Zealand’s TV3, it pinpoints her understanding personality and down to earth sense of humor. Lorde told TV3:
I was thinking, ‘Yeah he has a moustache… I mean I have a moustache, but is it that prominent?’ But it was someone’s dad pretending to be me. We actually, in my hotel room, went ‘Ya ya ya ya ya I’m Lorde! Ya ya ya!’ for like an hour, because that’s why they do on the episode, so…
and here’s the South Park clip of Randy’s performance as his alter ego, Lorde:

yeah, this article is a big fail to kissing lordes ass and sucking her non existing dick. the writer should try writing about something that is…. not totally in her imagination and opinion. yeah, this is a big fail
i love her, I think her proposal is fresh, different and more mature than the rest of the teen “idols” of her age, her lyrics are more like a critic to the consumist society, and this quality on her (a teenager) who write her own songs I applaud and respect. im tired of songs about the cutest boy in school and parties.
in a world where we are filled with silly, superficial and banal messages on songs im gratefull than singers like her came at the perfect time, where although the masses of teens follow the popularity crappy over the quality, at least 10, 20% of people are open a new proposals like her
in a plastic and superficial world, i must recognize
that there are many young and not so young who care about other
more important things than banality, Björk years ago
opened the way for all these indies/alternatives singers are possible today. im tired of the same repetitive formula on top charts. And Lorde is a fresh young figure, centered and coming to give us something different.
im nos saying she is the only one who sings this kind of music or lyrics but she has a lot fans of her age and that to me is good news. just saying dont kill me pls
