With SoundCloud becoming increasingly difficult for musicians and listeners to use, other sites are rising to cater to the fans of music and who simply want a reliable music streaming service. Sites like ToneDen, the Hype Machine, and Songdrop may not have the same status as SoundCloud, but if the SC continues to screw with their mobile site, push up promoted music fans are not looking for, and bring down accounts over silly copyright infringements, it may end up left in the dust by a superior music streaming site. One such site seems to be heading in the right direction for a possible meteoric rise.
TheFuture.fm is a website that streams live sets and DJ mixes covering all genres of music for free. To add an extra bit of spice to their growing brand, they have launched a new mix series appropriately titled “Artists Of TheFuture” to showcase musicians who are setting trends and kicking ass. To start themselves off right, they bring in deep house expert Oliver Heldens, who drops fresh and funky tunes for an hour of awesome. In the mix we hear a fantastic blend of groovy music including songs from Cazzette, Chocolate Puma, Kove, Justin Jay, My Digital Enemy, Stefano Noferini, and more. We even get songs from Oliver H. such as “Gecko (Overdrive)”, “Koala”, and a new remix of Duke Dumont‘s “Need U (100%)” heard for the very first time. If this is the kind of service we can expect from TheFuture.fm, then keep an eye out for more of this mix series and this site all-together.
