In an analysis run by Billboard, popular streaming service Spotify came out on top of a total of seven other comparable services as the most popular streaming service available. With streaming services all but annihilating the traditional sale of records, it’s important to understand the kind of impact they make on the music industry as a whole.
Spotify, of course, was #1. But what about the other seven? The only other ones I recognize on the list are Rhapsody, Sony Radio Unlimited, and Google Play All Access. The others seem to be much more prevalent and well-established in other parts of the world such as Mexico, Europe and South America.
