Disclosure Shows the World That EDM is More Than Big Room

disclosurefeature3_0

If you don’t listen to “Top 40s” radio stations, you might not have realized just how much EDM has crossed over into the mainstream. From artists like Zedd and Krewella preforming on Good Morning America, to people like Calvin Harris, Avicii, and Disclosure reaching notable spots on “Top 40s” charts, EDM has gathered a gigantic amount of popularity, pretty much rendering it as the new “pop,” which isn’t necessarily a bad thing.

A couple months ago, the English duo Disclosure, along with Sam Smith, performed their major hit “Latch” on Jimmy Kimmel’s Live show, and a couple days ago, on October 2nd, they were invited once more to preform for the Jimmy Kimmel Live audience. This time, however, they played two tunes: “F for You,” which featured Mary J. Blige on vocals, and their massively popular single “When A Fire Starts To Burn.” Rather than just push play and act as though they’re doing something, the guys were really involved in the performance and did a great job at delivering a different experience than what you’d get from simply listening to the original. Check out the performances down below.
