As fans and artists alike await DJ Mag‘s notorious Top 100 DJ list to surface this fall, another similar competition, the Ibiza DJ Awards, have officially announced their 2014 winners. The DJ Awards is comprised of 11 genre categories and 11 more “special awards”, such as Record Label of the Year and Producer of the Year. While Armin Van Buuren may have passed along his #1 DJ spot in DJ Mag to Hardwell last year, he came in #1 in the Trance category for the 2014 DJ Awards. Hardwell didn’t go home empty handed either though, as he took the reign in Electro House. Best International DJ went to the legendary Carl Cox and top International Festival went to Creamfields UK. The DJ Awards also included Ibiza-specific categories, such as Ibiza DJ, which was awarded to Iban Medoza, and Ibiza Live Performance who went to Matador.
