Last week we introduced Arty as the premier Resident Artist of the Month on Future FM, a universal hub for artists to upload mixes for listeners’ streaming pleasure. We chatted with him about upcoming projects and his collaborations with Mat Zo, among other topics. We also discussed other music that Arty enjoys, and what he looks for when creating a mix. You can read the interview in full here.
This week, Arty revealed 5 mixes from artists that he loves. His taste in melodic house and trance is evident. These producers are each following distinct paths and are at different points in their careers, but all are oozing talent. Get familiar with the artists below, because you’ll be seeing a lot more from them in the future.
Audien
This mix from Audien reflects his broad range of style, incorporating elements of trance, electro, and progressive house, with a splash of big room.
Lenno
The Data Transmission mix is a smooth ride of disco house at its finest. Plus, who can’t love a mix with more than one Alex Metric song?
Grum
Trance meets techno in Grum’s Essential Mix. This one’s unique – he mixes the old with the new, spinning old vinyl-only cuts with current stars like Eric Prydz.
Galantis
The only mix from the bunch that is actually the duo’s live set from this year’s Coachella. Just as a festival demands, it sports the big, progressive sound that these two are becoming known for, with a touch of grime in places.
Matisse & Sadko
This Spinnin’ Sessions mix blends the big, layered synths of progressive house with heavier, electro house breakdowns. Keep an eye out for the hot “ID” tracks.
