Warp9 Releases Electro-Swing Remix of ‘Count’s Baby’

warp9

If there was such a thing as a timeless sound, jazz could easily be it. That ‘swing’ vibe just never gets old and remixing a jazz tune is no easy task; any producer would have to bring their A-game. Warp9 happily stepped up to the challenge and knocked it out of the park with his remix of ‘Count’s Baby’. Taking Mouthful O’Jam‘s classic track and adding his signature electro-swing flair, the Miami beat-smith has created a deliciously glitched out, funk filled modern version. The contrast of nostalgic sounds and patterns from yesteryear with the bass driven sounds of today is a truly magical sensation, like listening to music from an alternate dimension.

Warp9 has released his ‘Count’s Baby’ remix through Green Queen Music and the tune is available for purchase exclusively on Beatport. If you dig this track, you’ll definitely want to keep your eyes and ears open for his new EP, Space Gold, which drops on September 29th via Adapted Records. In the meantime, check out Warp9‘s tour schedule below and see if he’ll be bringing the funk to your town!
