Calvin Harris, the ubiquitous Scottish DJ and producer has once again broken records. After making history by charting eight top 10 hits from the same album in the UK, passing Michael Jackson’s past streak, Calvin is back and this time he’s making streaming history. Reported just a few hours ago, Calvin Harris broke the record for most streamed British solo act with over 1 billion plays on Spotify. The artist is planning on celebrating the announcement through his Spotify Playlist Takeover planned for September 9th at 8PM.
According to Mixmag, Calvin Harris’ music has been listened to for over 5,000 years of continuous play and has brought him around 4 million pounds (~ $6,500,000).
