Yes, you read that correctly… Daft Punk member Guy-Manuel is supposedly working on recording a solo album on the outskirts of Paris at this very moment; French outlet Tsugi reports.
Said to include multiple collaborators including the French talent Charlotte Gainsbourg, anticipation for this release builds further with every word I type. Birthed in a west suburb of their home city we can only expect that this will be another release heard ’round the world. 
As we await their next (sudden) live appearance following the massive Random Access Memories, news such as this will continue to sustain the forever famished Daft Punk following. One can only hope that the trend continues with more music and maybe even a live showing by the mysterious robot duo in the months to come, even if it’s in the form of solo releases.
This is nothing new, Guy and Thomas have released EPs and remixes on their own in the past. All this means is that we’ll be getting more quality music.

If true, it won’t be anything like his Le Knight Club stuff. That’s not a bad thing though, the man is an incredible producer. Look at his work on Sebastien Telliers ‘Sexuality’ and how he helped create Kavinskys masterpiece ‘Nightcall’. His work is so warm and silky smooth, expect an album that’ll impregnate girls.

well they’ve got another 3 years till the next live show, so this will be pretty good i guess, never heard of them go solo albums, but i think this is pretty new and awesome
Anyone who knows of Le Knight Club and the label Cyradamoure will know this is exciting.
They’ve both done solo albums, it’s not a big deal. Thomas’s Trax On Da Rocks and Guy Man’s Crydamoure Waves and Waves II.
Good. Mike Shinoda’s Fort Minor and Chester’s Dead by Sunrise were as good as Linkin Park. I hope Daft Punk will be just as good solo too…
