Get your Labor Day poppin’ with this week’s Conspectus Chapter. The 25th edition starts off with “Samurai Bounce,” a quality party jam from Bombs Away and Dan Absent. They’re able to infuse some Eastern vibes through instrument choice, while also pushing a sound that is ripe for crowds. All bounce tracks are fun, but there’s something about this one that sticks out to me. Does it do the same for you?
With Vato Gonzalez, Lady Bee and Murda on one track, you’re in for treat. Their trap original, “We Be Like,” has a big room sound packed into a cut time package. When festival trap comes to mind, this track should come to mind. It has vocals, solid production and a huge sound that people can immediately connect to. Throw this in a set and nobody will be disappointed.
Terace takes us into the deep with their remix of “Own Up” by Motez. These two Australians give you a spacey house cut that will contribute to the good vibes you encounter over the Labor Day weekend. Their approach to the genre was creative; they use the usual elements, however they spice things up and give their own fresh take on things. If you want to learn how to utilize rhythms, you need not look further than this song.
I was hesitant to give this a listen, given my distaste for Maroon 5, but Waysons‘ remix of “Moves Like Jagger” deserves everyone’s ears. In taking an aggressive approach to the genre, we get something that has a bit more energy than the usual deep house tune. I mean, if you’re gonna dance like a veteran rock star, there better be energy and this brings it. However, the subtle style still is inherent, giving this a cool tone listeners will be attracted to.
“Belladonna” is the newest original work from Bassanova, who’s holds the title for most Conspectus features. The electro sound is tainted with some Melbourne, making this a high octane record. For nearly four minutes and twenty seconds, Bassanova will have you in his clutches. What that means is you’ll be dancing your ass off thanks to his spirited house original.
