Graham Gawthorpe aka GAWTBASS just released his newest track as a free download, and this one’s a growler. The producer out of Boulder, CO has been making himself known with hybrid bass music, often dancing between trap and dubstep. His latest single stretches that diversity even further.
“Old School” is aptly named. It pays tribute to older dubstep while still incorporating entirely different sounds. The track doesn’t overhype its build, and keeps a steady flow before and after the drop – a quality that is missing from a lot of modern dubstep. When things get heavy, classic wobbles akin to Rusko flow alongside ravey bleeps and snarling ‘new school’ bass.
