Here’s Your Fresh Face; Make Your Vote Count

Fresh Face Friday

Here to introduce the second week of Fresh Face Friday in August, we wanted to take a different approach to the segment. Although we have been showcasing artists on their way to fame; we have been showcasing, as it seems, one specific style of House. During this week, I want to show off some House music that is indifferent to the norm; a genre that I’ve always viewed as the genre that comes on during the last sets of the night. The 4 a.m sets that people are starting to seriously fall asleep during and the sun is coming up to. Here is your daily dose of deep/ ambient and so called “trippy” House that I like to call it.

You know the drill, vote for your favorite below!

Gryn – Tyrant

Comprised of two Los Angeles based producers; my dudes Alex and Ethan started producing together while they attending school together. They pull inspiration from G-House and Deep House genres and are often paired with artists like Shiba San and Low Steppa. Their song Tyrant features really light drums that are layered with a beautifully designed house pluck that act in unison to get your foot tapping and form an endless groove.

Leero – Lost World

Next here we have Leero who is based out of Slovenia. This lad has pulled a majority of his inspirations throughout the years from Deadmau5; but as his music career has pushed its boundaries, he now finds himself identifying with names like Hot Since 82 and Ten Walls. Finding the perfect beat is what really pushes Leon in his productions, he spends the most time fixating and playing with drums. But although drums are of the up most importance, this fellow also dabbles in the melodic side of House always trying to find that perfect melody for every track.

Tidlwave – Stay///Follow

In and out of bands for most of his life, Alex as in Tidlwave started producing mashups four years ago under the name of Alex McGhee. Although he received good feedback on his mashes, Alex moved away from creating mashups and took to perfecting the craft of producing by creating singles and remixes for the past few years. His productions take inspiration that change all the time but as you can by his track submission, he never sits complacent in one genre of EDM. Hip-hop, Dubstep, Drum & Bass, Trip Hop, Future or Progressive House; Alex produces in a wide array of genres whenever the mood strikes.

Now I hope you all can appreciate the new direction we took this week of Fresh Face Friday in. It isn’t often that we acknowledge the deeper side of House music but I wanted to bring that side of the genre to light. So now after listening to this week’s submissions for Fresh Face Friday cast your vote below.

Be opinionated and tell us who deserves to move on to the monthly phase.
