Premiered by Pete Tong and released today through Kismet Records, Rui Da Silva returns to the dance music scene with new single ‘Shadow Of The Moon.’ Brooding and emotive, Portugal’s legendary songwriter and producer has certainly brought the goods with this one. Managing to merge the sounds of the underground with today’s influences on modern dance music, the result is a climatic piece of progressive house that pulls you in.
Long, languid synth chords and a gently bubbling, transcending rhythm sequence are the order of the day from Da Silva, who of course had a Number 1 single back in 1991 with ‘Touch Me.’ With ‘Shadow Of The Moon’ released through his co-founded label, it is no surprise that this record feels like it comes from the soul.
