After Knife Party‘s closing set at Tomorrowland, the duo’s subsequent live shows only featured half of the members. With only Gareth McGrillen behind the decks, fans wondered why the duo’s other half, Rob Swire, was missing from the stage.
Swire recently took to Twitter to explain his absence — he’s been working on the duo’s upcoming album Abandon Ship, and stated that it was impossible to fit both touring and album work into his schedule. He will be back to touring with McGrillen after the third week of August, just in time for Electric Zoo.
The answer to every “why weren’t you at [festival name here]?” question is: finishing the album. Will be at all shows after 3rd week August.
