HARD Summer, the 2 day long music festival organized by Gary Richards’ HARD Presents has just come to a close after successful although partially tumultuous weekend. Following reports of high numbers of arrests and fence hoping, we are now saddened to bring you the news that one of the attendees passed away. A 19 year old woman died of a suspected drug overdose this morning at the Greater El Monte Community Hospital, Los Angeles County Department of Coroner Lt. Fred Corral told the LA Weekly. “She was taken from Whittier Narrows to the hospital, where she was pronounced dead” the Coroner stated.
The death apparently involved methamphetamine and ecstasy according to the Coroner’s report although it will be several weeks before the toxicology tests go through.
