Dubstep/drumstep is a genre that hasn’t been featured as much in the Conspectus Chapters, but when Vodge Diper and Ragga Twins single “Reggae Bass” entered our Soundcloud, there was no doubt it would be featured here. Supreme sound design, top quality production and all the energy you can ask for.
When I saw Loge21 on our Soundcloud, it was convenient that the song they remixed was called “Who The Hell Are You,” because I hadn’t heard of these cats before. Their melodic pad-heavy production wooed me and now I’m on board the Loge21 train for good. This will be my jam for the weekend, I can guarantee you that.
If you want to put your Friday into “Overdrive” then CreamyCookies can do that for you. This San Francisco duo turned out a Melbourne original that will get any party pumping. When you think “dance music” something like this is what should come to mind. And it’s free, so why not grab it.
“Blackhound” takes from a few different styles of house for a rather deceivingly eclectic sound. Jimmy Clash dropped this on Definition of Sounds on the 22nd and it’s still worth playing and mentioning. Jimmy took the time to add the little things that take this up a notch from the usual mainstage sounds. For any DJs playing EDM shows this week, this would be a good addition.
Speaker of the House wasn’t satisfied with a simple big room/electro track, so he developed “Holy Water” into a festival hybrid beast. Whether in cut time or not, you’re gonna get hype. You will feel the musical blessing wash all over you and after will be cleansed. And by “cleansed” I mean sweaty from dancing.
