Christian Bauhofer, better known as Minnesota, just dropped a fresh remix of Adventure Club’s “Gold,” a melodic dubstep monster from their most recent album. Minnesota takes the uplifting-yet-heavy vibes of the original and manages to push it even further, turning it into a glitchy anthem that flows with ease.
The track opens with an electro-pop build over Yuna’s beautifully modified vocals. As it progresses, the remix breaks into familiar territory featuring his signature, dreamy synths over a slapping, glitch hop drum pattern. Minnesota demonstrates his skill by maintaining the atmosphere of the original while also giving it his trademark treatment, perfectly complimenting Yuna’s voice.
