Let the mystery begin. SKULS, a new act out of the Bay Area, is getting things moving with their Free Information EP. Three singles make up the project with two being future beats and one being an ill trap jam. In hearing something like “Bones,” I have the urge to hear SKULS team up with Haywyre and grace the world with something even more clean than this. Which is no easy feat. “Crowded Eyes” shares a similar vibe to the first, however their differences are numerous. There’s a beautiful myriad of sounds strung together artfully, but as the song develops things chill out a bit. Last comes “Graves.” There’s nothing that really needs to be said except that it will be hard to find a non-hybrid trap track this good that’s come out recently. Stream the songs, follow SKULS and prepare yourself for more good music in the future.
