Have you heard of Andino & Kelvin before? If you haven’t, do not fret for these guys are one-hundred percent new to the scene, in terms of releases. With their first release, the duo from the Dominican Republic remix of “Rather Be” from British electronic group Clean Bandit and singer-songwriter Jess Glynne (who lent her vocal talent in the Route 94 song “My Love”).
The duo transforms this minimalistic piece of baroque-pop into a massive progressive house designated for the sets of headlining DJs and their live performances. The remix starts low in tune but allows Jess Glynne’s soulful voice to lead this song into a anticipatory build. It engages audiences all the way and welcomes with an explosive synth-melodic-overload that begs for fist-pumping and head-banging from the masses. Now, this main-stage giant can be yours for free (which is incredibly generous from a duo’s first ever release). With already over 11,000 plays on SoundCloud after coming out yesterday, it might be worth a listen.
