Its underground scene is extremely well established; from 808 focused bass-pushers like G Jones and SAYER to psychadelic, gypsy-crunk masters like WALA & Devin Kroes, the artists out here repping that distinctively West Coast sound consistently display a level of talent and innovation that leaves us both stunned and hungry for more.
From the depths of that den of creativity, we here at YourEDM are proud and excited to present you with Bay Area native, Satori, and his debut album, Northsound. The young up-and-comer put a massive amount of work into this release, seamlessly fusing elements of trap, future bass, and glitch to create a signature sound that is both unique and oddly familiar. The album features 12 all-original tracks meant to take you on a hyphadelic journey; songs like ‘We Are Healing’ and ‘…With Our Starry Eyes to the Sky’ groove along with entrancing melodies and hip-hop inspired drums while other tracks like ‘Throwin’ It Back’ and ‘Paup Lawk Drop’ will you have you getting crunk like it’s your job. On top of that, Satori expertly weaves in his samples, utilizing everything from mainstream rap to mind-expanding lectures from Terrence McKenna.
