Illenium & Said The Sky have been absolutely killing it as of late. Whether it’s their remix of Lana Del Rey or just a dope original track, the unofficial duo are quickly establishing themselves as huge up-and-comers in the melodic dubstep scene — a scene that has been rapidly on the rise with artists such as Seven Lions, Skrux and Venemy.
‘Falling In’ starts out with Mimi Page’s soft voice and some hard-hitting 808s, but those quickly fall to the side as the epic build ushers in a massive drop filled the brim to with glorious melodic breaks and some heavy kicks and growls. However, the 808s quickly make their return at the second drop, filled with some hugely unique and super heavy trap. It only lasts for a short while before Mimi’s voice comes back in and brings in the (technically) third drop, back to dubstep.
The duo have had a very success past couple of months and it hasn’t gone unnoticed. Illenium & Said The Sky will be playing a set at Red Rocks Amphitheater for Global Dance Festival; they’re on from 6-7 at the top stage, definitely not a set to miss. Download ‘Falling In’ for free HERE.
