This seems to be the morning of throwbacks… I’m not complaining one bit. The original ‘Electric Avenue’ was released in 1982 and became a platinum after selling over a million records, and has been played at Bar Mitzvahs ever since.
Orphic took the original and morphed it into this glitchy jazz re-interpretation filled with some slick, dirty bass growls and a host of original grooves. The jazz and sax breaks in this track make me feel like George Michael is in my room, serenading me over a wine and chicken marsala dinner… *ahem* excuse me.
