Out now on MTA Records, the brand new single from Kove is a delight. Geared for summer dance floors, ‘Way We Are’ ft. Melissa Steel is a funky piece of house, with an infectious hook and old-school style piano chords. Twinkling and rhythmically satisfying, this makes for an ideal follow up from last year’s ‘Love For You’, in similar style. Alongside remixes from APEXAPE and Preditah, the package also includes a Dub and a 174 mix of the tune.
Young Kove’s versatility as a producer is showcased once again with the flip of this single. ‘Liberator’ takes Kove back to his storming D&B roots, with a surging, drawn-out bass line and melodic drops. Chase & Status certainly knew what they were doing when they snapped James Rockhill up in 2013 – there is no doubt we will continue to see Kove’s star rise over the coming months.
