There’s been quite a few stellar remixes of Future‘s latest track ‘Move That Dope’, but Bastian & Hunter Reid‘s take on it should definitely be on your radar.
While the structure and vocals of the original lend themselves fairly obviously to a trap makeover, this one takes a step in the opposite direction; by rearranging the vocal pattern and pushing the tempo upwards, the young producers flipped mainstream rap into a super groovy deep house track. The bassline is thick and addictive, utilizing a heavy lead synth reminiscent of the future garage sound. To round things out, there’s even a funky, 808-infused breakdown near the middle of the track.
