As I have been doing with many of the Conspectus Chapters, I will start off with a chill, yet groovy tune straight out of Germany. GAMPER & DADONI teamed up with DNKR to remix “La La La.” The pop house record utilizes instruments like the guitar and saxophone while also recycling the vocal from the original. All this behind a four-to-the-floor beat results in a high-quality dance track ready for clubs everywhere. Or even just your headphones/docking station!
Now, if you are looking for a party tune, you have one right here. Alex D’Rosso comes “From The Darkness” to deliver a dirty complextro beast. The amount of sounds in the arrangement is quite a lot, yet he melds them together into one cohesive web of rhythms that will get you straight out of your chair and onto your feet. This song is also a great example of how to use vocal samples for drops!
“Empire” comes to us from Bassanova and Diddydutch. Feel booming kick while the raspy synths blast away into your ear canal. All the pressure and energy that comes roaring out of the speakers enters your body and doesn’t leave until the song comes to a close around the six minute mark. It’s been a long time since I’ve really had a melody stuck in my head, but for some reason this one won’t go away!
Harvel B & Lumberjack supply the big room barrage with their original piece, “Kheops.” Whenever this genre is mentioned, the room tenses, but this one is actually pretty sweet. They don’t dumb things down; if anything, they turn up and the result is a banger. The only thing is, this doesn’t come out until July 21st, so you’ll have to wait until then to get it.
More big room hits this chapter in the form of “Schizophrenia” from Flatland Funk and Shwann. I can see how the name correlates; intrusive sounds jump out of the mix at the most appropriate times to stir the listeners brain and body into a frenzy. This free tune has weekend parties waiting for it, so you’ll be glad you can snag it here today.
